The Abria's Chase Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2010 in memory of our daughter, Abria Jhune Lewis, and our son, Joshua Chase Lewis, who loss their lives in a fire that occurred in our home on November 9th, 2009. Their tragic and senseless deaths was our “call to action”.
Each year children and families die in fires. It is our goal to work at educating others about the seriousness of fire hazards in their homes. Through this education we hope we will save lives.
Both Abria and Chase were full of life, compassionate and thoughtful. The Abria's Chase Foundation, Inc. takes the personalities and values of Abria and Chase and passes them along in hope that others will benefit from their loss of life.

The Abria’s Chase Foundation was founded in December, 2010 to honor the memory of Sister and Brother, Abria Jhune Lewis and Joshua Chase Lewis, who both lost their lives in a tragic house fire on November 9, 2009

Both children were bright, energetic, and so full of love. Their passing was an enormous loss to all those who were touched by their young lives. To prevent similar tragedies, the foundation was created to educate and inform others about fire safety and eliminate fire hazards within the home.
Partnering With The Fire Department
In partnering with the Vance County Fire Department the Foundation assists in educating and raising awareness through:
Literature, Free Home Safety Inspections, Free Smoke Detectors, Free Smoke Detector Checks and Free Battery replacement
Family Assistance
The Foundation also provides assistance to families who have been victimized by fires and offers grief support groups for families who have lost love ones as a result of fires, The Foundation also promotes Cancer Awareness to honor two of Abria and Chase’s grandparents who fought the disease.
